"The King" is a short story about how to manipulate the art world. I felt inspired to write it after receiving over 100 emails from people who would ask me about which artists I thought would become the next big tickets in town. So, I decided to write this entertaining and devious "how-to" guide instead of answering their questions.

The cover of the "The King" was a paper made from coffee beans, so it had this great texture to it. It was also a small book, which is why the pages have strange crop lines when you view them below. I remember doing a lot of cutting and folding and stapling to make these.

THE KING was originally published exclusively for the LA ZINE FEST and then Beautiful/Decay Magazine liked it so much they gave free copies of it to their subscribers.
